FAQs for General Dentistry
What counts as general dentistry?
Preventive care, diagnostics, fillings, onlays/inlays, routine root canals and dentures. Major reconstructions and implants are handled on dedicated pages.
Do you do same-day crowns?
Crowns and bridges have a separate page. For general care, many single-tooth onlays/inlays are completed the same day.
Will I need a CBCT scan?
Only if it changes management (for example complex root anatomy or implant planning). Otherwise digital photos and intraoral scans suffice.
Are composite fillings durable?
Modern composites perform well when placed correctly and maintained. We’ll match materials to cavity size and bite forces.
Do root canals hurt?
Treatment is done under local anaesthetic. Expect mild soreness for a day or two; most patients return to normal activities quickly.
What if the tooth needs extra support after a root canal?
We may place a core build-up or post and plan the definitive restoration accordingly.
Can I whiten sensitive teeth?
Usually yes with a controlled protocol. In-surgery whitening is faster; home whitening is gentler and more gradual.
How long do ceramic onlays/inlays last?
With good care, they have strong medium- to long-term performance. We’ll review bite forces and night-guard needs.
Do you treat dental anxiety?
Yes. We use gentle techniques and can offer conscious sedation when appropriate.
Is it safe to travel for general dental care?
Yes. Care is delivered inside a hospital with EU-aligned standards. We provide transfers, accommodation options and clear follow-up.
What maintenance do you recommend?
Tailored hygiene intervals, daily interdental cleaning, fluoride use and bite checks. A night guard is advised for clenching.
What if I need specialist care?
We’ll coordinate timely referral to the appropriate specialist and share your digital records.
